I think it would be cool if you explained to people how to translate some simple scratch games into flash

Alright. A few things:
1) Explain what a function is and how to set one up. Is it just a predetermined action, like switching frames on the timeline?
2) Explain IN DEPTH how to make platform games, and why you did stuff like ({root.x,y/2)) (I know I misplaced a bracket in there)
3) How to set intervals, like <wait( 2 )secsc>
