1.3 Text font issue

While this isn't a huge issue, it was kind of annoying when I found that most of the fonts from the older scratch versions had been removed and replaced with a huge generic list of fonts.  While adding new fonts is good, some really good ones have been lost.  Personally, I really liked the Raedern font, and it had kind of become the signature text for my DemonSlayer games.  Now I have to make do with other fonts.
Again, not a huge issue, but I just thought I would voice my opinion.

Unfortunately some of the old fonts are not compatible with multiple languages so they had to be deprecated. I also liked some of the old fonts but now you can use the fonts  from your OS! :-)

Hi andres!

Are used fonts included in the project file (like Flash does) ?

That way everyone could view a project, but I'm not sure...

Re: 1.3 Text font issue

Hi, JSO.

Fonts are not included with the project. However, the text of a costume is pre-rendered so that it can be displayed in the font you selected, even on computers that do not have your font.

But to edit the text for a costume, Scratch needs to use a font that you have on your system. If you don't have the original font used to create the costume, it picks a font that you do have.
