For no real reason I'm going to write down what I believe is the value of various things.

2 questions:
1. It is currently being edited by gbear, right?
2. Is the save updated version?I'm editing it. whoever is next will get it in approx. 26 hours, maybe less.
Also, I've hidden a supersecret treasure, whoever finds it will be the richest person on scratchia, there is 81 stacks of diamonds! Also, rabbit is voted most likely to find them.I'm next.
And there's no chance you found 81 diamonds in one turn. Please don't hack anything in- it ruins the save for other people. Also note that if 81 stacks of diamonds go into play in Scratchia, a ton of inflation will happen, meaning the value of diamonds will go WAAAAAAY down.
I don't expect anyone will find it, if anyone finds it, (it's fairly obvious that I hacked, aka, the leafs in my chest) I expect them to get rid of the stuff. I can remove some if you want though.

lol I'm just saying it'd be totally devastating to the economy if someone found them and used them0 diamonds would be worth...less than flowers. MUCH less than flowers.
Edit: Does anyone have 81 stacks of dirt in Scratchia? If not, then, come to think of it, diamonds would be worth less than dirt if the super treasure was found. Less than dirt. And dirt is everywhere! D:

Yeah. I only used it one time because water flooded the subway and I recovered all tracks but one, dunno how that one dissapeared. o_0 But apart from that, never use InvEdit. ;P

Why?
Yoy can search each save before your turn, and know where a repository of diamond, coal, iron etc is
I got 5 diamonds that way once.
It's also good to check out how Scratchia's gonig every now and then.

At rabbit's shop 1 Lapis is 50 points, which could be 1/3 of a diamond, about 3 Iron, 5 Gold, 25 redstone or 50 coal.
And I like werdna's prices ideas, maybe change it a little or something but it's fine. Sunrise, can you add this poll to the main post plz:
POLL: Should the prices of each mineral (coal-diamond, including redstone and lapis) in Scratchia (Sunny Acres and others' will be separate unless Sunrise-Moon wants it otherwise) be standardized?
A) Yes, use werdna's prices. (1 diamond = 45 Iron = 120 coal = 50 gold = 200 planks = 50 clay = 30 lapis)
B) Yes, use rabbit's prices. (1 diamond = 3 lapis = 10 Iron = 15 Gold = 75 Redstone = 150 Coal)
C) No, leave the prices up to each shopkeeper in Scratchia.
I vote A, maybe modified to use multiples of 2 (so we'll talk about quarter, half, 3/4 or full stacks of anything).

I like C but to avoid confusion A. B's iron 10= diamond 1 thing definitely doesn't seem right.
Although I'd make lapis cheaper than A. Even though I made a.

And anyways, 200 planks are rather easy to get. Just make an epic tree farm in the middle of nowhere and wait. In one day, I mined over a stack of logs at my tree farm, and only 40 logs = 1 diamond.

I think we should have a new poll every other day.

I guess, maybe 300?
I think lapis should be quite cheap since, while it's rare, it's not that useful except for blue blocks.

Nah, 100 coal is a bit too low. 128 coal = two full stacks which I'd say equals about a diamond.

I guess, but while coal is common it takes a while to mine 100 of it.
Well, actually about half a minute or something (excluding the walking between them, and assuming you're using a diamond pick.

Use the credits system of currency. It has worked well in Crafted for mine and Qazedts (The-Whiz's) underground city.
1 Iron Ingot = 1 credit
1 gold= 10 credit
1 diamond = 25 credits
We normally base it on intervals of 25, but you can use 10 or 5 for smaller stuff.

While gold may be worth 10 iron, diamond is worth much more than 25 iron or 2.5 gold.

Results so far:
A: 2 (me, werdna)
B: 0
C: 2 (johndo, Sunrise-Moon)
IMO, planks shouldn't be a currency, at all. Logs could be a better currency IMO, yet still they shouldn't be worth much considering tree farms are easy to make, harvest and replant. Also with changing werdna's system I mean something like this, including the logs idea:

C is possible though, we've been doing it the whole time and the few markets (including the Acres' homes) in Scratchia/Sunny Acres are doing fine.
Another idea I had was dynamic prices for each mineral. More demand and/or less quantity = higher prices (dunno if that's right, not interested in IRL economics anyway). But that might be a little too complex.

But if you think about, usually, when you find a diamond, you find at least 2, and at most, 6. 6 x 128 = 768 coal. 6 x 64 = 384 iron, 6 x 48 = 288 gold (and gold is actually really hard to find, so I say it should be 10 - 20 to a diamond), 6 x 128 = 768 logs (
), 6 x 32 = 128 clay (if we're talking about clay balls, 32 are actually really easy to find), 6 x 16 = 96 lapis.

But few people could bother to mine that many coal, iron, gold, lapis or logs.
Clay is actually pretty abundant sometimes though, everytime you find some near a shore you get like 3 full stacks, or 6 diamonds if we implement this system.
Maybe clay shouldn't be a currency at all (at most an item to be sold) and 24/32 gold = 1 diamond.
