Re: Problem with Scratch 1.4

Unfortunately, Scratch doesn't have autosave  sad
When you click the close button, does Scratch prompt you to save? It usually will when you do click it, but seeing as it's frozen like you describe it, I don't think that'll happen. Also, does the window title say "Not Responding" anywhere?

Yawn.

Re: Problem with Scratch 1.4

Ah, the disappearing text glitch. I'd suggest just re-installing Scratch.

Re: Problem with Scratch 1.4

This is a bit different, Jonath...

It's the disappering and freezing text bug. Try closing Scratch then re-opening it.
--------------------------------------------------------
Also, if it does not work, see if your operating system meets the Scratch 1.4 requirements.

Requirements (from the Scratch Reference Guide)
Computer OS:
Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Vista
Mac OS X 10.4 or later

Display: 800x480 or larger, thousands or millions of colors (16-bit color or greater).
Disk: At least 120 megabytes of free space to install Scratch
Note: Scratch comes with a large media library and a collection of Sample projects. If you have very limited disk space, you can delete the Media and Projects folders from the Scratch folder.

Memory: Most computers have enough memory to run Scratch. Older computers may run Scratch slowly.
Sound: To take advantage of sound ouput and input, you need speakers (or headphones) and a microphone. Many laptops have speakers and microphones built in.

Re: Problem with Scratch 1.4

as scratch use alot of visual aid in the software it could be related to that somewhat as some proccessors or cpu's (central processing unit (i think)) may struggle to cope with it. Ihave experienced this myself and i have been a sratcher for very long what i decided to do was to break the project into scenes and work on each one seperately while saving almost constantly.<move( as many )steps> as it takes to get better and wiser

Scratch stopped responding after working 3+ hours without saving.
