First of all, you've all hear annoying sounds, but some sounds you don't find annoying, during the day, are annoying in the night.
1. For instance, you're trying to sleep at the best of your ability, but the neighbor's dog keeps barking, followed by other dogs in the neighborhood, forming a sort of "dog chorus". It may not be very annoying to some of you, and it's not really annoying too me (I actually find it soothing), but lots of people do find it irritating, is why it's up here to begin with. Not just dogs, but a lot more animals are considered annoying. Parrots squawking, cats hissing, wolves howling, and more...
2. Let's get this straight, lawnmowers are pretty much annoying anytime, but what about when you're sleeping? It happens at night, but, for some of you daytime sleepers, it occurs even more. Lawnmowers are loud and irritating. And, it doesn't just affect your sleep, but also your everyday activities. These include eating, watching TV, using the computer, exercising, cooking, I can pretty much go on and on...
3. TVs are every person's dream, but it's not always so when it's time to go to bed. It can get pretty irritating, when you're trying to snooze, and you just keep tossing back and forth, waiting for the hour when the TV finally shuts off. Also, not only can it irritate, but it can also distract. You all of a sudden, right before bed, find something interesting, and you're trying to balance out the two. For people, like me, TV is actually nice, while trying to fall asleep. I don't mind tuning into something, and listening to it, as I fall asleep, but I have my share of TV-related annoyances, too. Even in sleep. Trust me.
4. Internet is fun. In fact, as of 2008, 21.9 % of the population in the whole world uses the internet. And, as time continues to grow, more people, even in the poorest countries, are being exposed to internet, so, that means, the internet craze is growing each day. This is not always the case when you're trying to sleep. For example, you're trying to snooze in the next room over, and your brother/sister has their computer speakers set at super loud, all the way to the top, and they got in on a Fred video. You feel like saying, "Shut up, you idiot!" Yup, that's annoying.
5. Toys. Every kid's dream, well, almost every kid's dream. Anyways, you probably have toys sitting in your room, right now, and, please, don't argue with this statement. It doesn't matter if you have toys or not. The point is, toys, like toys with sounds or lights, can switch on, without being touched at all. It could've probably dropped on the floor, and the button was affected by the fall, or you have a ghost. Who cares. For some people, like me, you can easily be spooked by the slightest sounds during the night, and the sound of a toy falling and switching on all of a sudden can scare the hell out of you. Or, your Furby starts talking, without you even switching it on. If that's the case, replace your Furby with one that's not possessed, or just quickly discard of it, without even getting another one. Just kidding, but the point still sticks. Moving on.
6. You've all probably rode in a vehicle before. No, duh! Anyways, for you people with blinds, like me, vehicles can send off a certain light, with their headlights, which bounces off onto your walls or ceiling. I find it somewhat interesting, and sometimes I go into a sort of mini-trans, while watching it. Some people, find this annoying. Not just that, the most annoying thing is, even during day, is a car engine. You're sleeping is affected greatly by this terrible noise. Let's name a few things that cars can do, that gets pretty irritating. A broken engine, or, to make things simpler, a broken car. A high-speed chase involving a policeman, in hot pursuit, and a speeding criminal. Also, people that just seem to speed because they love it. Car alarms. Sometimes, one little vibration can set this baby off. One last thing, a car collision.
7. The seventh is quite simple really. A crying baby or toddler can really test your patience. The Smiths' have a baby son next door, who cries at the slightest of things, even at night. Several instances, he has claimed that an evil clown stole his teddy bear, when really it was always with him. A few times, this same thing has occurred during sleeping hours. The more he cries, the less sleep you get. Not just that, but this baby or toddler can be living with you, right now. Yes, they are cute, and, no matter how loud they get at night, you have to keep yourself together. Your baby brother or sister, or, if you're a parent, your baby son or daughter keeps waking you up at night. They won't stop. That's also very annoying. Sometimes, they yell for no reason, even in their sleep.
8. The sleeptalkers... Don't get me started. Sometimes, they yell in a fit of anger or cuss loudly, and, oddly, they're asleep. Lots of people sleeptalk because everynight you have a dream. Not just one, but several in one night. That's probably why you hear someone sleeptalking, right now. No matter how loud that person gets, there is nothing you can do about it.
9. Here's a good one, or bad one. A bunch of teens come over downstairs or upstairs, below you or above you. You live in an apartment complex or whatever. Suddenly, as midnight approaches, you begin to hear banging noises, like drums beating. It begins to get louder, and soon you realize it's rap music playing. Not just normal volume, but "party volume". By that, I mean maximum volume. Back to the topic of cars, there seems to be no limit to how loud you can play your music. Some fools seem to love disturbing the peace with their Mariachi, rap, or heavy metal music. They put this at super loud volume, convincing themselves that others around them love it. They are completely oblivious to those around them, and they don't give a care about disturbing the peace, or your sleep. Bang! Bang! It just keeps going! Bang! Bang! It just keeps rollin'! Bang! Bang! It makes you just wanna cuss the foo out!
10. Trains. Trains. Trains. You may live in a rural part of town, or maybe you live near a subway. Well, trains loud "choo-choo" horns get really loud. For example, in Polar Express, the Polar Express, from which the movie and book get its title from, has really loud horns, and the ground literally shakes when it starts passing by hero boy's, as I so call him, house. I don't know why the rest of his family doesn't notice this, but it's really scary. Walls start shaking. Ceilings seem as if they're going to topple right onto you. The floor trembles beneath your feet. To top it all off, the train's horn decides to join in the fun by whistling really loudly, followed by a few foxes barking.
BTW, more will be added. You, yourself, can also add a few annoying sounds. Remember, it has to be an annoying sound that you hear while sleeping. It can be as weird as possible, as long as you know it's happened. If you think this is a tl;dr, just try. If you really don't feel like it, I'm okay with that, but just try to read at least one.
Mini Fact
The average human being eats eight, that's right, eight, spiders, while sleeping, in their whole lifetime.
Hope you enjoyed this!

I've read all of it.
I gotta say, living in NYC has caused me to otherwise be able to sleep through all of those things on the list. Subway trains, barking dogs, loud music... you name it, there's a very good chance that I've probably slept through it.
Although... there was one sound I have encountered that I wasn't able to get over. One time I went to the Philippines and the room I was sleeping in had a window that is facing a bunch of houses most of which seemed to own pet roosters; when one rooster crows, THEY ALL CROW. And that was really annoying when I tried to go to sleep.

The most irritating sound I hear at night is the fire alarm. I live 1 mile away from a fire startion, so every night I hear the alarm. It sounds like a cross between a air raid siren and a dying duck

Most teenagers have this problem, including me: because teenager's ears are stronger than adult ears, we can hear higher frequencies of sound. When everything is silent, I can sometimes hear a high-pitched buzz in my ear - this is the sound of energy, such as internet or radio waves, from the electromagnetic spectrum. I get this buzzing sometimes and it's annoying! Do any of you get that problem? It happens with most of my Science class, too...

THIS WAS MY LIFE LAST YEAR! Everyone in my neighborhood owned dogs(it seemed), they were never leashed, (We were chased out of our OWN YARD multiple times by random dogs, as well as finding much of their waste in our yard) and they barked like mad in the middle of the night.

Yeah, I have problems with all of those. My mom lives in a townhouse near drunks and my dad lives below drunks, and they all have dogs......

Please, stop it with this "true dat". It's irritating. Some people know how to read long things, unlike you... Untrue dat.

My older brother is in the room next to me and at night he stays up until like 3 practicing guitar. It's extremely irritating. Then he sleeps until like 1 in the afternoon and gets annoyed when I make too much noise in my room and wake him up.
I swear he's noctural.
