That doesn't mean that the community won't love other projects that have actual programming more then they will three letters, over the span of three projects, which, for the matter, could all be compressed into one project. Scratch is for interactive stories, music, games, and art, and I wouldn't neccesarily call those letters art, though some may beg to differ. And I will not allow them to.

So your saying we can't have our fun?

It's distraction of the masses.  Crowd theory.  They've been tricked that that's the best Scratch is capable of, when it clearly isn't.

While goals like that are very interesting, I do wish more projects with work put into them would reach frontpage. At least it makes it an even larger achievement though.

I'm saying your fun would push other projects behind, some of which have been worked on for months. What would you rather have? 3 letters? Or a quality project? and at least do it on remixed, or a less popular coloum for Pete's sake, whoever Pete is.

You think the best games ever should be on the front page or some projects that each have 1 letter on them and nothing else.

+1. If there's no interaction, it's lifeless - it would be a picture. Isn't DeviantART or a site like that more appropriate for that purpose?

EDIT: Outposted four times just then - a record for me O_o

...and this is why I never look at projects anymore. I know they won't be games, or at least something worth looking at. I applaud those who spend time making things. Not people who paste a letter and post it as a project.

Cynical? Maybe. But I speak truth.

No, but quality projects deserve front page. And I'm sure if you talk to anyone but yourself about this you'll get the same answer. The front page is to give people quality projects that they might be interested in. I'm not going to even moniter that area for a while, stick to Featured for me..  big_smile

Re: The fall of Scratch...already happened...

The front page is meant to show off the best recent projects, not stupid stuff like this. I'm actually flagging it since, in a way, it's cheating the front page - and I'm pretty sure the Scratch Team doesn't want that. I encourage you guys to do so too.

Maybe a bit more clever, thought out humour.

I am. Depending on the share time, it may not, and even if it did it wouldn't get the section it deserves. Plus, only 3 projects can be Featured at a time.

Those sites have too big of a community so your art doesn't get Junk for views

Yes, but we aren't on the Forums on a site like that are we? No. We're on Scratch. We are talking about Scratch. Not art sites. Back on topic please.
