uhh...I think I know why they have a scratch cat though! (scratch I belive is a cat disease)

Because it is how djs make music, They take bits and peices and put it together.

It's how they create music. They mix and match different parts together. In Scratch, you put different blocks together to make something, like DJ's using the music bits

I always thought of it as when you use Scratch, then you can make games from scratch. "Scratching" blocks together makes sense too.
