Hi,
I use Scratch for all of my artwork. However, I'd like to be able to use the images from it in other programs. I DO KNOW HOW TO EXPORT IMAGES!!! However, it saves it as a .bmp and adds white around it. I can save it as a .png, which can have transparency, but I don't know how to fill in the white with transparency. I'm guessing I can fill in the white with transparency using GIMP, which I have, but I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to GIMP, so can anyone tell me how to do this?
If this should be in Misc., feel free to move it.

I'm not too familiar with GIMP, so bear with me here, but I think there's a tool that allows you to select certain colors in an image. So just select the white, and delete it. (Make sure you set the background to transparency under the image properties first.)

Just go to Layer > Transparency > Color to Alpha... and select white. Congratulations, you have a transparent image!
