Well, at the moment, because of Java limitations, 10 MB is the limit, but when Scratch is transitioned to Flash, it will increase to 15 or maybe 20MB.

Well, if you want to make a game that big, you might as well learn another programming language, because if you make a project that big in scratch, it will either:
A. Crash the Scratch application
B. Not open at all
C. Have unbearable lag
Not only that but bandwidth costs money, and huge projects like that are going to take up a lot of bandwidth. I think 10 Mb is enough.

As long as you don't pack in unnecessary music, you'll find it really hard to reach 10 megabtyes

Do so.
On second thoughts, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that; this doesn't seem like a permanent No.

Make a new section "suggestions known coming" so at least people don't start filling up this forum with known coming suggestions.

The Scratch Team has actually considered moving up the upload limit with the release of the Flash player;to my understanding, they're just trying to pick a suitable limit right now. I believe you can reccomend what you feel to be good limits on project sizes on this suggestion right here.

(1) Increase upload limit to 100 MB
(2) Each of the 731,029 current scratchers uploads a 100 MB project
(3) Server crashes
(4) ???
(5) Profit
Problem MIT?

Personally, I think the limit should be increased to 20 or 25 MB, or maybe allot a certain amount of space per account per month? Let's face it: someone who makes a ton of smaller projects *cough* SM *cough* might take up as much memory as someone with a few larger projects.
Just something to think about
Also, cheddargirl, your "project pick" leads to the wrong project

Is there a way to publicize that more?

I though everyone knew about that already, it;s been mentioned a couple of times on similar threads asking for the same thing.

Yes, in the hope that one of mine might be featured
but on a serious note I think the limit should be increased because compression = much lower quality D:
unless of course you use 8-bit music like I did in Bieber Stadium so that you can't really hear the compression

Oh no, I must be spending too much time in Miscellaneous to not notice it.
