Hmm... 5 points per day spent in scratchia? Yup everybody now has to pay taxes.
No, it's just it took me forever to build the houses and amenities and stuff, while keeping the town looking nice. I completely depleted several of my resources, and had to create a private tree farm because I was using so much wood. It's only fair that I'm allowed to charge a fee for someone to live in Sunny Acres after all my work. Also, the charging for the land is because you get amenities and the perks of being a resident.

I guess I understand that. I think I would like to open a store in Sunny acres. Could I? If so how much would it cost?

You don't like having a suburb?

1. Lot for my house
2. Open area for community gardenIdea- town square surrounding your garden! How big will the garden be?
It will be somewhat big, because it will be a garden and a tree farm.

Ooh, never mind about the surrounding your garden part . Hey, you should make it like a park with a pond and cobblestone path and stuff! That'd be awesome

Yeah, instead I'll make it a park. Stone path, pond, flowers and a tree, and some other stuff. It will be medium size, so you can put town square around it.

Not necessary, as long as everyone works a little it should be fine. Taxes would only work at a much larger scale methinks, and if Scratchia were real it'd be about the size of my neighborhood.
Now that I think about it I might build a little house in Sunny Acres for fun. I have some clay so it'll be a brick one Maybe also a big library since I um, stole some reeds from the public farm when it was my turn. A half stack of them actually ._.

For some reason, I keep finding monsters inside my fortress. It's entirely walled off, I have an overhang so spiders cannot get in, and there is no patch of land anywhere in my fort where a monster can spawn in the dark. Why?

Hmmm... Would it be possible to have a store right next to the furnace rooms?

But unless you cut that tree down there's no space. Sunny Acres should expand a little, though that's a bit hard considering it's on a hill. Maybe someone could flatten a little the terrain near the public farm so rabbit and I can build there?

Nah, the park would be much better looking if it had it's own space so it could be as big as you wanted.

Eh...it'd be a tight fit, and I like the tree right there...Maybe I could make a fork in the path, one part leading to stores, while the other part leading to the neighborhood? If someone would mind waiting a bit longer for the save and letting me in their spot temporarily, I could do that.

Build a house? But then all my built houses will go to waste .

I knew about the canes, I just meant I harvested way too much of them.

Okay Do you mind if I pay for my house after I'm done with the park? I might have to use my supplies on it

Quickly done expansion idea:
That's what made more sense to me, at least 3 small buildings could be built near the public farm that way, even more if you keep expanding that road.
