Wireless Multiplayer Idea

What if you could make scratch games where you could chat or play multiplayer games over the internet on scratch?

Re: Wireless Multiplayer Idea

You can already do that. Scratch has a hidden feature called Mesh that allows people on the same network to play Scratch games together! You have to hack Scratch to get it, though, and it's kind of difficult to use, so be sure to read that article thoroughly.

Also, I heard that Scratch 2.0 (the next version) will have some kind of online playing feature enabled by default! We don't know much about it yet, so keep a lookout for news.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Why not?

You probably made an error somewhere along the road. If you mean that you didn't get the mesh blocks, then... well, there is none in Scratch. To test out mesh, try Panther, a Scratch mod.

The bad part about having the multiplayer is that there'd be able to have a chat function, which is not allowed on Scratch.
