I've noticed that there is a fish-eye effect in Scratch under graphic effects:
[blocks]<change[ fish-eye ]effect by( 0 [/blocks]
but I have found that to be a bit annoying since you can't set the point of the distortion (where the distortion starts.) I have no idea whether this would be feasible (as in it wouldn't slow down Scratch interpretation to the point of crashing) but I'd like to know if anyone else also has the same view.

Edit: Wait, this was a suggestion for a feature to be added. Derp. Yes, this would be a great idea! I don't see why it couldn't be done.

Maybe instead of setting the center through the block, it would use the costume center that you set in the paint editor.
