G'day all
Just tested the flash player on my '99 bottles of beer' project - and it has some issues with lists that take up the whole screen.
I'll list them here:
1. The list output is confined to a small area at the top left of the screen, but the list background (gray) is full screen.
2. The length display is near the bottom but not quite on the bottom
3. The project starts automatically when you load it (instead of the Java player where you had to click the green flag)
4. The space key in my project does nothing (it is meant to clear the output of the program)
I hope these issues can be fixed with the flash player - as I prefer it to the Java player.
Thanks,
erikn

Question - Will we be able to download the .swf file? Sorry, I'm too poor to afford flash still. Though I think Adobe would not approve of making flash games using a free program that still has enough to make a complex game XD
There will be an offline player, and probably a way to embed Scratch files on other sites. However, there almost certainly won't be a way to export a standalone .swf file.

and it lets me drag variables+lists around.

The Flash Player is pretty good so far as it speeds up most projects. The full screen feature is nice too.
However, there are a few problems, as it seems that using the stamp command lags more on the flash player than on the java player.
Additionally, there should be an option to make variables/lists drag able.

Its AWESOME! You guys should just switch to flash and make it so you can get your game in flash's html code instead of java!

I think it's even better because it loads faster

Something I just became aware of; I don't have Flash on my computer, so I couldn't use the Flash viewer. When Scratch 2.0 comes out with a Flash player, am I going to have to pay for Flash to be able to continue using Scratch?

I think it is great but it is very glitchy

Is it Flash or Flash player? My computer said I needed Adobe Flash, no player included.
