How come lots of my projects, and other projects, work different online than they do on the Scratch application? On the Scratch application, for me it normally works faster. Also, on my newest project, it shows a bunch of variables I said to hide in the scripting, or at least I hid it on the list of variables.

Because online, projects are played by Java, which interprets the commands from Scratch differently than the Scratch program itself does. As a result, very commonly are there glitches online. However, recently the Scratch Team released a beta version of the highly-anticipated Flash online player, which hopefully will fix the online glitches.

Yes, as OldWheezerGeezer said, the Java doesn't play the same way as the Scratch Player, which causes things to be slower and have more glitches. The new Flash player is supposes to work just like the Scratch program reducing glitches and increasing speed. It is a good thing that they are switching to flash because almost all of my projects seem to have trouble online. If you are viewing other projects that seem to be complex, you should just download it making things faster and for better gameplay/viewing.
