Help!

I cant save projects in any of my folders! Only in the place I keep my downloaded projects! When I try it somewhere else other than the place I keep downloaded it says: Save failed: folder can be locked or read-only! HELP!

I'm not sure why you can only save projects in that folder... Have you tried making a new folder and saving your projects there?

But I know for a fact the folders that come with scratch are read-only, which is why you can't export any sprites in the costumes folder.


I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Yes, I used to be able to save in a folder I made, "my stuff" but not anymore.

Yes, its 1.3 and I'm using Windows XP.

When you create a new folder you can right-mouse click it and go to properties.  It will tell you there if your folder is read only.  You should have permissions to unlock a folder you created.  Is this your computer or one at school?
