What can I do to really help the scratch community?

You can:
Answer questions in the forums
Give feedback to others' projects
Give other suggestions feedback
Point out things that aren't right, like spammers. (but don't go: "SPAMMER! SPAMMER! SPAMMER!" do something like: "I think that's considered spam, which is not allowed.")

Help new scratchers with their projects. If they see a game that has a lot of potential, then say so and give ideas on how they could expand. Also, click love it if you think it's good. Keeping the spirit of good scratchers up makes you feel awsum

Just report the offending post. I recall that there was a discussion on mini-modding somewhere; let me see if I can find it.
Edit: Found it. If you're interested, the thread is here.
