Hey deco23, you're considered a New Scratcher here on the forums because you just visited the forums fairly recently. Users can only get the title of "Scratcher" by being active on both the main site and the forums. Just keep active on both the main site and the forums and your title will change soon enough.

The front page has different channels, so a project could get on the front page in a variety of ways:
- if your project gains a lot of love-its, remixes, or views within the first few days after it is uploaded, it can get on the channels "What the Community is loving", "What the Community is remixing", and "What the community is viewing"
- sometimes the Scratch Team selects projects that they want to feature, and they put it in their "Featured" channel. Users can suggest projects that they would like to see the Scratch Team get featured here.
- the current curator (CoolerThanIce is the current curator for the moment, the position changes every two weeks) can choose three projects to feature for a certain period of time.
- if your project is in the current Scratch Design studio gallery it can appear in the Scratch Design Studio channel.
Hope this info clears everything up.

Actually sorry for the way i keep on bugging you, but that link youve provided me with is for featured project proposals, which is perfect... But im not sure if the guy deciding who gets featured will even notice my reply to his post.
It would be such as pity if he didnt notice my project because it fits perfectly into his requirements!!
Is there any way you can help further or am i just crazy now ha

Yes, that's a good way to become a Scratcher, faster. Be active on forums and main site, and you'll be one soon enough. Good luck!!

If you mean help on getting your projects more noticed, we have this topic with more tips on how to do just that.
For other questions regarding the website in general or help with Scratch programming in general, you can always ask in the "All About Scratch" forum.

Even though cheddargirl already said this, posting on topics is a good way to increase activity. Just go on the TBG forums, and participate in games. You have fun, increase your posts, and others have fun! But don't spam!

TBG Forums?..
Text-Based Games forum. See this thread for more info.
I would like to mention that the TBG forums have no effect whatsoever on the New Scratcher status here on the regular forums, however.

How long will it take to become a scratcher on average?

For me, I really don't know, so perhaps several weeks or a month? Again, it all depends on your activity. Many vary. Maybe, you should ask others for more details on average.
