I melted my Gamecube GameDisk (don't ask)

As long as you have the memory on a memory card, you can buy a new game, and nothing is lost, right?

I was trying to get scratches out, and I put it under a lamp for it to dry, but the game NEVER worked anyway

That would be correct. As long as the memory card is fine, you won't lose any data.

I'm not sure, but it seems to be correct from what I've heard from the Scratchers above. I, too, have a GameCube! XD By the way, which game was it?

Yes, the disk doesn't matter when it comes to memory.  If it did what would the memory card be for?
