Yeah, I guess that's the concern...that some people might keep changing the post topic to include different things and the topic would lose focus. Or somebody might change it continuously to try and lure people into thinking it was a different topic.
It's really doesn't take the moderators very much time to change them...just a quick copy and paste

I agree with that, but maybe the time limit could be extended a bit? 
I can easily imagine someone making a topic and receiving early replies that makes him/her want to change the topic name...
But I don't really mind either way, it doesn't affect me much - I don't make that many topics. xP

Yes, but only five minutes is a bit limiting... how about 24 hours? That way it gives the topic owner some time in case he/she needs it, and yet it isn't long enough to cause too much of a risk.
