Yet they could basically do an extra disc, called WiiScratch maybe? I think it's a great idea. It would add more intensity to the game a it would be good if the disc could also be transferred to PC. Even if the Wii system won't download it if it was compatible with PC you could upload your creations and download the stuff there before taking in to the console(?).

Maybe he means a wii exclusive version with it's own community but it would still be connected to scratch.

2 things:
1. Won't the next version of scratch be built on flash, so you might be able to run it on the Wii?
2. Does the Wii support Flash?
Yes the wii does support flash stuff but it has to be made by flash 8 or earlier

Are you a wii member and a member on scratch? Soon I will post a project of what Scratch™ would probably look like in seaveral types of ways (by me or other Scratch™ users)! So drop a comment or too on my projects or on this form! *sniff* *sniff* i don't think its gonna happen, though it would be cool.

I completely support this idea but if someone dosn't have internet connection for their Wii, they wouldn't be able to share the projects they made on the Wii. Also, maybe it would be cool to have your Miis as sprites.

Looks like a really cool idea! For those of you being negative about Java, Scratch is a Squeak! program, not Java. And you don't need to download from the Internet channel, it could be its own channel from the Wii shop.
Posted directly from a Nintendo Wii system!

I don't know if it should be made... after all Wii 2 is coming out next year. But if it is made I would definitely get it!

They might make a Scratch thing for the Wii U. They say it can outperform a Playstation Move.

Can't the Wii U play original Wii games? If so, then it doesn't really matter.
