Some suggestions...

O..K., I have a few suggestions here...

1. Layer editor.

-OK, this would be very useful, as it's way more useful than simply clicking a sprite to bring it to front or using these scripts:

<go to front>

<go back( whatever )layers>

-I guess it would work either like Photoshop or WarioWare DIY's layer editor.

2. Enhanced WAV compatibility.

-This is a pretty useful feature. I don't know if Audacity will work (I don't have it anyway...), but some sounds in my MP3 player that I recorded aren't compatible and they sounded pretty good, I don't wanna use Scratch's recorder, since the sounds come out a bit bad...

3. A few new blocks.

-The first block I already included in another post, but here's a list:

i.Exponent block

(_ ^ _)

ii. Visual effect reporter block

(|color| effect {of |sprite 1|})
*note: {} means that it is on another separate block

iii.show/hide lists

[show/hide list |list 1|]

iv. sprite shown/hidden? boolean

<|sprite 1| shown/hidden?>

-so far, I think those are all the blocks I want...

4. enhanced resolution

-if you can't, Scratch Team, I understand, but maybe at least you could  remove the resizing of imported sprites? I always thought of this slightly annoying, since I was making a side-scrolling game and discovered I couldn't make such a big sprite, and it became extremely distorted and ugly...

O.K., I think that's it! for now................................................................................

Re: Some suggestions...

Actually, I agree with most of your points. Having layers available would be really nice, although I do wonder if it's totally necessary. You can just use an editor with layers like GIMP or Paint.net, but having that functionality right in Scratch would be nice.

Better sound compatibility and quality would definitely be a huge plus; quality is awful now.

Those blocks sound very useful. I'm pretty sure hide/show list is coming in the next version of Scratch (2.0)  big_smile

I don't really have access to those kinds of programs, unfortunately...

What? That doesn't make any sense.

Well, I wanted to download Photosop at Adobe.com, but i saw the price was really high (about $1000!), so I assumed most other graphics progams must be similar...
