I would've mentioned you, but you haven't made a scratch project in a while. Unless you count that link to your flash game  hmm

Yeah, I posted a project called "don't view this" and it got frontpage but I deleted it. In general my projects are not really games but demonstrations. I am really going all out for the collab challenge tho, been waiting for a contest like this so I could crush you guys  tongue

The project is a fairly large scale pokemon style game, complete with leveling, movesets, monster capture, bosses and other things that make these games fun.

Hi, I am Archmage coder extraordinaire. I do Scratch, pascal, java, php, html, AS2 and AS3. Leave me a message if you want coding advice. Also check out my personal website, lots of good stuff about web development, Flash, and Scratch (v1 and v2) !

But the reason you are so well known is because you generally make demonstrations. And it figures that a don't view project got front paged. People are nosy.

Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say. I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.

Oh drat, that means I'm a lazy sod now.

O yeah, Tron.  mad  you lazy sod.  lol

Indeed, aren't I terrible?

Oh dear, now it's 3rd Top Viewed.  The slot where the real undeserving people reach.  Drat.

@archmage:  will it be like the real game?  With IV's, EV's, the PC, items, hidden stuff, all the little things that add polish?

I work hard but I am not famous

I had 1 frontpage. It was a featured.

For the purpose of this collab challenge it won't be such a close pokemon clone because one of the criteria is originality.

It will have:
-items
-monster capture
-hidden stuff
-stats
-bosses
-leveling
-unique moves and stats
-& more!

It's probably mostly people rechecking it every so often.  On the forums, every time you revisit a page or refresh, it counts as a view.

I spent a year on my game, Gravcube, and it got 76 views, not bad  smile

And I spent 2 months on Stepped Out, and it got featured and 2000+ views!

I spent 6 hours straight on my updated version of the Ultimate Guide to Scratch, which got featured. That's 6 hours on top of the 9 hours spent making the original. But the Updated version has hardly any views.

Second editions rarely get more views than the origanels.

I guess, it just seems like a waste of time...

Wow. Glad someone remembers.  smile

I do too. But I've always considered you someone without enough recognition for their amazingly quality projects.

view count are either related to post count in the thread or how much the people who care about the thread know
