New program

I am planning to make a program like Scratch but smaller.  Lightnin told me to come here to find out more so here I am.  Any help on what materials I need or how to start would be very appreciated.

If you are planning to modify the original Scratch source code, then there are many existing topics in Advanced Topics which can help you get started with Squeak (The language Scratch is programmed in) and coding in general. Just have a search and you'll find some!

If you plan to actually completely re-make Scratch, then you might want to give us some more details if you want help, such as:
The language you plan to program in
What your past experiences are in programming
Your level of determination  tongue  Re-making scratch is not an easy job  big_smile
