This was an idea that came up in Google Wave, back when it was still used by us Scratchers. I and filo5 had like 150 ideas for cards and some music loops, but the game itself was never done.
The card game's mechanics were very similar to Magic: The Gathering. Spawn "creatures" (in the form of users and fictional stuff related to the site, such as trolls or the Scratch Cat) using resources which are constantly generated by certain cards (like the terrain in M:TG), while also using Events which cause an instant, single-use effect and Items, which can be attached to Creatures to enhance them.
Another idea we had was using Block cards, which can be stacked as a "Script pile" which may be triggered under a certain circumstance (we were thinking letting the player trigger it by itself, but maybe using certain card effect to trigger it would be good). Each Block card has a little effect or may interact with each other (e.g. the "Repeat" card, IIRC, made the next card's effect be counted twice).
Now, the game itself was kinda like an RPG, except all battles were, obviously, card battles. Think of the Pokemon TCG game for Game Boy, you may find gameplay videos of it in Youtube. You would earn money or cards from each battle, and buy booster packs or new card decks with the money. You'd start as a newbie in the Scratch community, and work your way until you're chosen to assist the moderators in their mission to save Scratch from a troll invasion, or something like that.
I'm posting these ideas just to see if anyone's interested. The game we attempted to make on Google Wave failed nearly a year ago, and filo5 has been inactive for a loooooooong while so I don't think he, or anyone will mind me posting this.

Just kidding.
But anyways, isn't that kind of immoral and probably illegal to do that without their permission, whoever these trolls are?

No, it just mentions trolls in general. Nobody in specific.

The second sounds complicated, but fun!
