K, feel a bit better now. I can't upload the newest version of the project, which is just fantastic...
Why is it that whenever I am really far on a project, and its awesome, I get an error when I try and upload it...every single time? Sigh...
Anyone have an email address I can send the file too? Others can upload it, just not me...

Nvm, I circumvented it.
Test it out here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/TheSaint/1585150
(This new version has a cleaner looking menu, I got rid of those box things on the menu, and I addedthe ability to buy more fireballs.)

You guys do realize that I take your updates, and then re-upload to the same project so that the scratch team sees it? His may have been uploaded later, but I go through and update my project with your revisions...
I think what he meant by "recent" was that it was the latest version of the project at the time - in other words, that you didn't update your project yet.
(But I didn't know - oops ^_^)

Anyways, if someone wants to trace the text, by all means go ahead. Good luck with that five hour project...
Uh... I'll try it anyway

So, someone needs to convert the health+Money into sprites, not display.
I'll try and do that later today

I'll try it out when I'm on a proper computer

TheSaint, you didn't update from the latest version -_- At least I hadn't really changed anything...

Latest version - update from this one!!!

It didn't take five hours Yeah, there's no actual text in the project anymore - it's all traced now.

I might do that tomorrow
Oh - I made it so the health and money variables hide and show accordingly instead of using the fan to cover them up; it was causing some problems in the Java Player and covered a small piece of text in the tutorial page. It's more efficient, anyway.

Lol, look at the comments on the latest version of Dragon Defense:
"This is a really fun project!"
"AWESOME!"
"really good"
"This is the best game ever!"
I think our collab is doing well

Alright new update. I just fixed a glitch.
Same project that I have always updated to.

New version yet again, same place as before. I think you'll like this update. ;P

Three things:
1. I still feel like the menu needs work. With all the cool people and scenery graphics, it's a little bland. Make it more rounded and less linear, add a couple gradients, and maybe a texture.
2. The characters should have a walking cycle. Even two or three costumes would improve it tremendously; I don't like watching them float around.
3. While the power control with the cursor is an interesting feature, the increase rate is WAY too slow. Again, in addition to that there needs to be multiple fireballs. With such a fast paced game, I find myself frustrated at the snail-pace of my actions.

You can buy Fireballs...
But I can make it a bit faster powerup...

okay question, can we make it so the fireball does NOT drop as it flies through the air. this makes it really really difficult, and it's hard enough as it is XD
Offline
I like it dropping. I just want to be able to shoot multiple fireballs at once without an upgrade...
Offline
I DESPISE it

I simply think that the fireballs should move a bit faster, and that there needs to be more fireballs (at least two, maybe three).
I think the menu is okay, but I think Shadow has a point - maybe we should give it some texture like he suggested?
And I don't think we need walk costumes - but they wouldn't be too bad... I might try creating some really basic ones.

I didn't know that dragon fireballs can defy gravity.
Besides of all the features to not like, this one has been in from the begining. Why mention it now?
As for everyone else, I will work on it. I will put a second fireball as the cheapest upgrade (50 gold), and I will make the fireballs move faster. I will also make the third fireball cheaper, and make the last upgrade on that will almost negate the spinning thing, making it much faster.
And walking costumes would be good.
Satisfied?

it's not defying gravity, it's just not multiplying the effects of gravity like we're doing. with the velocity it's travelling, and the fact that it's a ball of fire, it's not going to be that greatly affected by gravity.
i just hate this feature, it kind of ruins the game for me...

Hmmm, well lets take a vote.
All in favor of gravity, say "I" within 1 day. If you don't vote, you don't get a choice.
