i think it would be a GREAT idea to add blocks for gravity, momentum, weight, mass, all that, so scratchers can have physics in scratch wiothout taking all that time to make all those scripts.

The fun in Scratch that Flash and some other few gaming languages don't have is exactly that of having to start... from scratch!

How would gravity blocks work? Gravity... Is more like jut a formula, not a whole block. And how would. You configure it? What if you wanted the gravity to be heavy, then light, then normal? And how would that work if scratch doesn't know the weight of your sprite?

No, because scratch is meant to teach you how to do these things.

Scratch is designed to help teach people programming - how can it do that as well as before when a gravity block is provided, stopping users from implementing their own?

Yeah, everyone has pretty much said everything for me.
Adding this feature would make it too easy to make physics and other projects, and as Scratch is designed to teach programming, that would be silly.

Physics is tough
That's why RHY's platformer base is awesome
Yeah, Scratch is supposed to teach programming...but a Box2D-sorta engine would be nice

I think Physics is not just about gravity, you should read Enstine's theory of relativity
