Re: how to be a moderator

Hey ilawson, moderators here are usually chosen by vote (that is, chosen by both the Scratch Team and the community). This page lists info about community moderators and the requirements to become one.  smile

Re: how to be a moderator

When the mod elections come, you can submit your own.

Scratch team will gather up the best and will be put in a survey for us to vote on.

Well that's what happened last time :L

Yep, what cheddargirl said. ^^ Most mods are chosen by both the Scratch Team and the community. To actually be chosen though, you must be active, nice, helpful, and simply cute in general. :3

Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: how to be a moderator

and you are still a new scratcher and have not been on for at least 6 months...

Remember, don't think that if you're 14 you automatically become a mod, and don't think anyone that wants to become a mod can... It's a big responsibility and you need to show that the scratch team trusts you...

Re: how to be a moderator

It might just help if you practice posting like you would for an official essay or writing assignment, I don't think any mods talk like they're texting or something... Your english doesn't have to be perfect, just try not to talk like:
hello i am on scratch and i am posting rite now...

Re: how to be a moderator

If you want to be mod, make sure to use good grammar. Also, always end your posts with  smile  unless you are applying for TBG Mod. Then end it with a  wink

I do realize TBG Mods use  wink  after every post, at least bulbo does.

Different mods seem to have different posting styles. Sometimes I have a tendency to use  tongue  quite a bit.  tongue
