You're right..."ignore and report" is usually the best strategy for dealing with these people. I am going to move this topic to All About Scratch (see why).

Re: dealing with trolls and cyberbullies

===Situation 1===
Troll:Your project sucks! It's too hard and the controls are glitchy!
Response 1:Deal with it and stop trolling.
Response 2:*flag*
Response 3:How does it suck? Why is it too hard? What glitches are there?

===Situation 2===
Troll-LOL YOUR COMPANY IS SOOOO DUMB
Response 1:Um why lol
Response 2:You don't have to join...
Response 3-*flag*

===Situation 3====
(On the TBG RPGs)
You:This is warrior RPG! Make a warrior and beat enemies but don't powerplay!
Troll:My warrior destroys all the enemies by flicking his finger.
You:Stop powerplaying!
Troll:SHUT UP IDIOT
Response 1:You. Out. Of. My. RPG. Now.
Response 2:And then suddenly a comet flies down and kills your character.
Response 3:That post did not happen.

Re: dealing with trolls and cyberbullies

Hmm...for situation 1, I think Troll could use some manners, but is not necessarily a Troll. Offers reasons why the projects sucks, no? It might actually be too hard. If it really is a troll, just flag and move on. Feeding it doesn't help.

Edit: Oh, and about system tool. It's a tricky one, at least when my mom's computer got infected a month or two ago. Malwarebytes AND Avast didn't detect it for me, but an alternative is to switch users and then end it from the task manager. The name of the.exe is a bunch of random letters and numbers (write these numbers/letters down). Then you can manually delete it from the Application Data folder (hidden folder). Then go to the registry (run->regedit) and ctrl-F the random letters, and delete those entries*.

*Just a BIG note: The registry is not for mucking around in. No no no.

Just ignore cyber bullies, they do you no good.  You shouldn't emotionally invest yourself in things that are negative.

Unless they are allergic to them... *evil grin*... just kidding, that would stoop us to their level. Yeah, cyber bullies and trolls, they are bad.

Friend the troller. Yes, you read that right. It is not a typo. It annoys the troller to death, and you will not be flagged for offending another user. If you have to reply, say things like "thank you!" and "I never knew that!" or "What?" (to be used repeatedly). Sarcasm is your friend. The nastier the comment, the sweeter the reply should be. And if they keep trolling your project, compliment one of theirs. You might be labeled by them as obnoxious, but do you really care what they think?

Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?

Say "Sorry, I don't like pickles on my waffles." It will confuse them like how aliens confuse monkeys. Sorry if I'm disturbing you. If I am, I would advise you stop reading this. Hello everybody it's me bdn7! What did creep who stole my computer type? Oh my gosh. He is really creepy. But he's right, because pumpkins are blue, aren't they?

Hello everyone. I have attained a stable mind, so let's get back to the cyberbully thing. I think the whole "pickles on my waffles" thing would work better like this. "Sorry, I don't like pickles on my waffles. I only like syrup." As if saying your project is a waffle, the mean comment is a pickle, and good comments are like syrup. OR... Say "If you don't like it so much, why are you still looking at it?" OR... If it isn't about the project you could say "Hey, watch your keyboard! Please don't type anything mean anymore." Try those. (Well maybe not the waffle thing.)

You have to remember that I was insane for half of that post. You also inspired me to make an anti cyber-bully project.

I'm currently dealing with some mysterious Scratcher who keeps swearing on my website! He has also done the same thing to my Wiki before (in February). I banned him there, but now it seems he's returned to ruin my latest website. However, I cannot block or ban him from this website. Well, I can, but everything's too complicated. I kind of need help. It's ticking me off. Here's the original topic...http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=67730 P.S. It's closed and the link is no longer available. It also seems the troll has disappeared...for now.  hmm

How do I stop him from accessing my website? Also, I don't want to download anything.

Re: dealing with trolls and cyberbullies

How about this:

Bully: This project is useless. IT is SO LAME! MY EYEBALLS THROW UP WATCHING IT!
You: What is useless about it?
Response2: Okay, if you don't like this project, uhh, DONT WATCH IT??
Response3: *flag* (risky, sometimes they might flag your project)
Response4: x (delete)
