Scratch

My fellow Scratchers,
There is a lot of buzz from the scratch team about having Scratch 2.0 in the cloud. I like that idea. I like it mostly, but I always thought of Scratch as a program that you can use offline, where if the WiFi is screwed up you can make a project. I like that concept. The major thing that I like about Scratch in the cloud is that I don't have to hunt for the image (my computer has several images, so I have to right click scratch and choose 'Scratch 1.4'. We used to do a lot of mods.)
My brother beta tests the google chrome 100% in the cloud computer, but that has 3G so he doesn't need to rely on WiFi.
Scratch as a program should also be allowed as well as in the cloud. Is this something you are working on, Scratch Team?

I think it's good news that next version of scratch program will operate in the cloud. This does makes more sense from a commercial point of view since cloud hosting reduces the running cost to an enormous extent, which is something of extreme importance as the popularity of this program grows.

How does cloud hosting reduce the running cost? In general, that's more load and more data that has to be on the servers.

What does this have to do with the topic? I've bent my brain in a bunch of different ways and can not for the life of me connect this to Scratch in the Cloud. Please keep the posts directed to the topic.

Returning to the topic: I have been assured a couple of times now that the ability to make Scratch projects offline will be present in Scratch 2.0. I hope that is the case as I know that there are people that like or need to be able to run Scratch when the network is not available.

By the way, on the subject of 2.0
Some guy sent an email to the ST, and they told him that there will be news about Scratch 2.0 coming out this week. But the problem is he's convincing everyone that a whole beta will be out by the end of the week. If this isn't true, you might want to mention it before he reaches disappointment city, along with a lot of other Scratchers that listened to him

Also, I am glad that scratch will be able to be accessed offline becauseI have shady internet access, so programming while on the internet would not be good for me. I als don't really know what the cloud is besides it having good comercials...
