Awesome. Thanks, dude!

Just a note: I founded Scratchable by myself, then RAF inspired me to revive it. Mind changing that? Thanks.  big_smile

Re: Scratchable Official Collab Thread

Guess I should get started on the March article  smile

A Review of Bubble Racer by goalkeepery

Bubble Racer, created by the maker of Mongolian Death Worm and Tranpoline, was a game dedicated to all of the people "bullied" off of Scratch. I honestly don't think glitchfinder was bullied, but whatever. Anyway, the velocity's good, and the scrolling was smooth. The game was a bit hard, but a good game overall.

Oh yeah, you forgot to put in my Feb. Article in the magazine  sad

Yup. Actually, I didn't even do much for the first scratchable. Just wrote an article that never made it in. Later I tried to make my own mag (Scratcher's Scene), and when it failed, I asked icode if I could use the scratchable name. Later, I think I asked him if he wanted to start a full collab with the scratchable, and he said okay.

Re: Scratchable Official Collab Thread

My article (Shorter:)
2 ways to make unique games!

Do you know what makes scratch really special? Remixing! It is something that is rare in programs and it does really peeve some people out. Some people hate that people can "Steal" your projects. Or that some people make remix chains that get on the front page. But really, who could imagine a scratch without remixing? I couldn't.
Here are two helpful projects to make unique games through remixing:

Mouse-Move Engine By Me. Find it at http://3.ly/DSdc
Mouse-Move Engine is a way to make a platformer only using the mouse. Remix to make your own one-button platformers

Planet Platformer By Mariobrosrue. Find it at http://3.ly/hNZk
Like Super Mario Galaxy? This is a way to make something just like that! It is a very creative concept, and I would like to see what people would make.

That's the end for my tips article. I hope you have fun remixing.

Re: Scratchable Official Collab Thread

Here is my article:
Companies, do's and don't s

Over the past year there has been a boom in companies.  More and more companies are popping up all over the collaboration forum.  Alot of these so called companies may not even make a project.  But some, some are good for these reasons.

Forum Thread:

do's
-make their forum say something like Scratchable official Collab Thread.  This is good because it look professional and makes it look like they know what they are dong so people will want to join.
-make your thread look professional, make a logo and put it at the top of the thread make indents using quotes to make spots for members

members

don't s
- dont shout at the scratchers by saying something like, join the best company ever!! this will just make scratchers not want to join your company.  The will think you just want people to look at their thread.
-in the thread don't put this is the thread and i want you to join my company

Projects

do's
-start simple make a easy platformer or just a simple 5 level game.

don't s
-don't start right off by making a huge complex game or project

members

do's
-try and start off small with only a few friends and make sure they are active and will help get things done
-ask each member if they were to join, why they want to join, are they active, and what do they do best

don't s
-don't get a bunch of inactive people to join make sure you look at their projects and don't go and spam on people's projects to join your company because they will most likely say no and or be inactive.

Hopefully with these steps you can creat and awesome company that will be successful and last a long time.

please note this will be edited and changes will be made
