I was thinking, just for fun we could translate scratch to Pig Latin. What do you think? Maybe for April Fools.

I don't approve. It seems like an awfully lot of work just for a joke.

I don't think it's such a great idea, because a whole new language option may slow down the sever, however it would be very easy to. From english, just write a code that will put the first letter at the back and add "ay"

All those who say it's not a good idea are forgetting one simple thing: App Patches! MIT could write a patch that modifies the Scratch image with Pig Latin text. It won't slow down the server at all, since it's not a full installer, only a tiny image code/Checksum patcher.

Yeah... It kinda does....
But I'll do it anyways...
I'll get started now!

Really?
I did that from my knowlege from your post.
[language=piglatin]Ooglegay idday hetay ranslatetay rongway![/language]
[translatedfrom=piglatin#2]Google did the translate wrong![/translated]
Google really did it wrong.
You need code to add the 'ay' using code.
EDITINFO: [language=piglatin]Iay ddedaay notheraay hreadtay orfay notheraay ypetay foay Atinlay.[/language]
EDITINFO2: I now host a Pig Latin forum. See the forum Here.

That's just a waste of time. Pig Latin is a jargon and not a real language, and another thing is you'll give Scratch a lot of work just for April 1st. Plus, if it's not for April Fools Day, you could add a lot of inconvenience for everybody. There will be Igpay Atinlay Orumsfay and Ratchsay niay Igpay Atinlay. It will kind of ruin everything, don't you think? But it's still pretty funny though, and I get your point.

No, a1130. It's Atchscray, inyay etc. not what you said.

Yeah... I messed up. But there are a bunch of variants...

@rdococ: My pig latin is not very good... Also I typed that message in an Apple store. It was pretty noisy and I couldn't concentrate...
Anyway: Yeah... I messed up. But there are a bunch of variants...

If the word begins with a vowel, then it woud just add "way" to end of it. I have a pig latin translator, (not trying to spam, please don't be mean, it just came to mind wile thinking about this,) and you have to make a ton of OR statements to make the vowels thing.

i think we should

That would be hilarious, but I'm afraid it would slow down the servers. Plus, it's not a real language. Just a jargon. Like ib.

Yeah, pig Latin sounds pretty cool. I could help translate. ^^
Also, Luna, for words that start with vowels, instead of moving the vowel to the back and adding "ay", just add "y".
