GAAA! it is saying stuff about aunthecation code
when i try to log in it has me do extra not-needed security code. please remove!

I got that authentication code too. Now I can't log in unless it's on the login page.
Click on login.
Enter your login details in the boxes that appear.
Click Login.
Gives an error message and redirects to a login page with word captions. (To stop password hackers?)
You can login with that page.

My site Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

@Paddle: It seems that a Captcha code appears when the use is trying to log in from the forums page and not from somewhere on the main site:
Is this some kind of new deterrent to stop the spam bots from posting in the forums?

Hmm...
I get the Captcha code if I log in my from test account on the front page, but not my main moderator account...

i made this topic before this thread too but whatever (only by an hour or so 
) anyway, I would understan needing it to make an account, but it's getting annoying having to do it everytime.... what if we only needed to do the authentication words when we log in from a different computer?

It happens whenever you log in after being logged out for a long time. Just click "home" and re-enter your username and password.

After I hit the button to give me an authentication code, it says I left the field blank

I know how to get through it, I'm just thinking about why it happens after you've been logged out for a long time now.
