Dungeon City Discussion

I've made a wildly popular IRL Notebook RPG/Strategy game in my school, and someone mentioned to me about making an electronic version on the internet(s). Please tell me what you think.

Here's the story-A Hero, who can be a Warrior, Gunman or Mage, finds an artifact in a dungeon that allows him to build his very own city in the dungeon. He's heard many stories of similar artifacts and other Heroes getting famous because of them, so he activates the artifact. Immediately, a hut, a gold mine, an ore mine and a barracks pops up, along with two workers.

The barracks allows you to train soldiers. You can upgrade it to a Special Forces Barracks, and after that a War Centre to allow you to train better soldiers. Training soldiers cost gold, and so does upgrading, which also costs ore.

The hut increases the maximum population of your city by 2.

Each worker produces 100 gold or ore, depending on which mine you assign him to, per day. It's recommended to have 1 gold miner and 1 ore minder.

You can also get gold by defeating enemies or players equal or higher than your level. When you defeat enemies, your Hero can level up.

Recruiting a worker costs 500 gold, plus enough huts. Building a structure costs ore depending on the structure.

You can team up with others to fight enemies or form a tribe and give each other buildings, soldiers, workers, gold or ore as presents. A tribe is like a group of people. However, to join a tribe, someone, whether the tribe or you, will have to build a road to the tribe center, costing 100 ore. When you create a tribe, you need 500 ore to build the tribe center. Tribe centers are safe from enemy attack, but will automatically collapse if the tribe is destroyed(enemy destroys all tribe cities, all players quit, or a combination of them)

Thanks!  big_smile  Feel free to ask any questions or demand any features. If you want a feature, please make sure I can add it on the TBG forums, because I try to keep my games such that a forum or a notebook can be used to play it.

Re: Dungeon City Discussion

By every "day", do you mean actual days, or in-game days?

Re: Dungeon City Discussion

Actual. Regardless of what time you built your new gold mine/ore mine/tech harvester/magic harvester/recruited worker, you will  get your new resources at the start of the next day. Even if you built your mine at, say, 11:59, you will get your new resources at 12:00. Meaning, you have to wait the rest of the day to get your resources, and it doesn't matter how long the rest of the day is.
