Straight from chi-town, I, J0j2 am keeping you updated.
Basically we were hit with something around two feet of snow. But that's not the good part. With snow drifts. So now there are six foot stacks of snow! My front door is three feet buried in!
It's a winter wonderland. But last night, there was THUNDERSNOW. Thunder, lightning and snow. It was EPIC. I made brownies at 10:30 at night last night.
Needless to say, school's out. Even the highschool which hasn't had a snow day since '79.
It's stunning and hilarious. My brother's going to shovel driveways for $50. As my neighbor said, 'He's an evil genius.'.
It's really fun because EVERYONE's in a good mood. No one is going anywhere this entire day, so might as well enjoy the weather. We're taking pictures and documenting this 'historic' (veeeeery historic) event.
Anyone else from chicago? What are you doing?
It's still snowing and I'll keep you updated. Oh! A snow plow just got stuck in the street. WIN!

Over here in Connecticut, we're breaking records for our state. I think we've already gotten 10 snowstorms, and 2 of them dropped 18 inches. (Or as much as 30 inches in some parts of the state.) I'm not sure what other states are used to, but for us, it's an absolutely insane amount of snow.

Snow's up to my waist in Racine, WI. We just finished up shoveling the snow off the driveway...
Hard to believe people are still driving around... Man, I swear, every street/subdivision here has at least one guy who has an ATV, and is using it to shovel snow. ._.

My dad is plowing all of the neighbors driveways with our Skid steer (Or as many people call them "Bobcats" but that isn't correct because Bobcat is a brand and the machine is called a Skid steer) because we live in the country and all have driveways 300 or 400 feet long. This is awesomely CRAZY! I love it

Ah yes. I live in Massachusetts, in which we're in the line of many of the stores, and we have MANY feet piled in from the past storms combined.

Sounds pretty crazy in Chicago! Here in Maine, it's snowing now. We are getting another foot or so, if the storm lives up to the projections. That on top of the last foot we got - it's getting hard to find places to stash it all! It's not record-breaking amounts for around here...but it's substantial

I was too little to remember that. BUT I went on a VACATION to SEE the SNOW. It was a little more than expected. It was like a blizzard on the way there.
