Is Scratch 2.0 delayed?
I've heard rumours saying it is

As far as I'm aware, the Scratch Team hasn't said anything about delays, but I might be wrong...
They said it would probably come out in 2011, so now it's 2011, some people might start thinking that it's delayed... But we've still got a long way to go until the end of this year, and they didn't even say it would definitely come out this year...

It's coming out in bits and pieces, not in one big roll-out. There should be an announcement pretty soon. I believe the next piece will be a Flash-based replacement for the Java viewer.

But I though that the major website changes weren't going public till 2.0.

But scratch 1.4 doesn't let higher uploads. Will there be a patch?

We are early into 2011 and the scratch team confirmed that the next version of scratch will be made in flash. I suppose the player and development program will both be in flash, and if so, no more glitches with online and offline!
