So, I was just browsing around Scratch when my sound suddenly broke.

I tried taking off and unplugging my headphones, but it didn't work.

I tried adjusting my sound, but it also didn't work.

And no, it's not muted.

EDIT 2011-02-05~ Tried scanning, came out clean, sound still broken.

However, there is one sound I do hear. This annoying crackly click sound. It goes whenever I plug/unplug my headphones or adjust the volume. It hurts my head. And I've had enough of that, seeing as I had a fever yesterday.

I use a Windows XP Professional, by the way.

Can anybody help me?

Ouch.

Run out and buy a cheap pair of headphones, and begin diagnostics. smile

If those don't work, then it's either a problem with the computer the headphone jack.

But if it broke without being shaken or anything like that, maybe it's a software problem.

Scan for viruses... hmm

It doesn't have to do with my headphones. If it did, my sound would have worked fine as soon as I unplugged them.

Oh. Your computer has built in sound? Try working with that. Maybe... Yeah, scan your comp for viruses. wink

IDK, that was for all AV programs in general. Open up the start menu, click norton, hit scan.

Actually, thanks for trying to help, but I figured out on my own.

The scan came out clean.

And my sound is still broken, nonetheless. :c
