Re: Photoshop Scratch

It would be next to impossible for the Scratch Team to replicate a $500+ piece of software, not to mention Scratch really doesn't need photorealistic graphics.

Why would you even want it? The whole drive behind Scratch is that it teaches kids how to program games and things, not how to make brilliant works of art.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

+1 Just draw your images elsewhere and import them.

Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.

Re: Photoshop Scratch

I agree with hmnwilson - the Scratch team doesn't have the time to replicate Photoshop and the advantages are few and far between.

Re: Photoshop Scratch

Recreating such an advanced program would take much too long. Why don't you use,  say, Photoshop?  tongue  If it's too expensive for you, you can use an free alternative, such as GIMP or Paint.net.

Re: Photoshop Scratch

For the Scratch Paint Editor? It would be way too expensive and it would be not worth it.

Re: Photoshop Scratch

However generous the Scratch Team may be, they will not make Scratch like Photoshop, not because of lack of a reason or inspiration, but simply because of physically not being capable of doing so. They only have biological brains, sadly, and only so much of them. If not for this mere physical obstacle that the mortal human body presents, they would have certainly done it, I assure you. :-D

Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: Photoshop Scratch

You can do that  smile

The layers function in "Looks" can help.

See the image in my sig? I made it with Scratch. You can save the picture of the background or grab a region of the screen.  wink
