Image Compression on Scratch
I just tried to upload 1400 jpeg images the size of the Scratch screen, but needless to say, my computer exploded. Is there an image type that won't take up 600kb per image? Or is 600kb an okay size for a background?

1400 jpeg images? Whoa. 
Try .GIF images. It seems that they take up less size (this from playing around on my version of Scratch).
[whoops, put wrong filetype initially. Fixed it ^^]
