We had some snow, but nothing serious.

We only had 10 inches of snow today, but Torontonians are pansies so they shut down the roads. First ever snow day. Except I slept all day

Actually, Global Warming is like Global Mixup. Remember when it got to 70° in the middle of Winter? And the next week it snowed when it was about 40°? Or at least at my place.

We have freezing rain, so all the ground is covered in ice. An icicle to the temple? You're lucky to be alive with one that size.

My area got hit hard. The snow has piled up to 2 feet and the icicles are taller than me

Wow you get snow. It's over 30 degrees celcius almost everyday in summer here. The only snow I've ever seen is the stuff that comes out of a snow making machine.

Well, that's certainly different from what we are seeing where I am!
How many times a year do you get sandstorms so bad that school has to be closed? Does it affect transportation a lot? Are there special precautions you take for traveling in a sandstorm? What direction is the wind usually blowing when these storms come though? How fast does the wind blow? Does it peel paint off of cars?
I find it all very fascinating - do tell us more

There was one school that was actually OPEN yesterday! (Thank god it wasn't my school)

Hold on I can't explain all of it now but
Usually when we get a really bad sandstorm in the morning and it looks like there is more on the way we shut down the schools
If it is just a wimpy one then it's usually a delay
Gotta shut down my computer
Bye

We still have ice, it breaks like glass, if you like your wall not broken, don't punch the siding when it's frozen :p
Anyway, School was canceled for the past two days, the windows are frozen, and I have to sit outside for about fifteen minutes waiting for my bus.
@GlitchSprite: Really? Snowstorms? Huh. The world's ending too early, I still didn't recieve my sruff off of ebay!!
And they're not delivering newspapers, so mail is slowing down, waiting for my ipod to come in a package.
That sums up where I'm living :p

^This.
I have to leave 30 minutes early to get to class on time because the subway rails have to be constantly de-iced. I have to keep doing this until the snow clears completely.
I never thought I'd see Cheddar do the 'this' thing! XD
Especially to Blade :O
What's wrong with Blade's posts? He makes good points.

In 2009 we had a bigger ice storm here in Kentucky than whatever you had.
But, from experience, sled on the ice with one of those cheap plastic things. You'll go fast and far.
