As a teacher it is VERY, VERY, VERY hard for me to find my students's projects. I cannot search with their user name. Therefore, I have to write down each name after going to each student.... This is VERY cumbersome. Please fix this crazy bug.

Actually, that's not a bug. The search engine on Scratch is actually a customized Google search, which means that all the searches are based on what Google has indexed at that point (in other words, if Google has not indexed the page yet, it won't appear in the search).
Let me see if I can get a Scratch Team member in here to look into the issue.

Perhaps you could make a gallery and have your students add their projects to the gallery?
You might also check out our ScratchEd area, which is just for educators like yourself, and see what solutions others have come up with.

If you know all their usernames, simply go to http://scratch.mit.edu/users/[username] to view their profiles.
