I don't mind. Now we have the "based on" link, everyone can see who the original creator is, so it works just like free advertising.
Glough's download of my project was one more added to the downloads to put it onto the front page for downloads. His view of it - and the view of everyone that sees his and follows the link back to mine - is one more towards the number of views for staying on the front page.
So Glough is providing free advertising for me, whilst showing everybody else exactly what sort of person he is. Keep it up

What I want is when you click "Share!", you have the option to disable people from downloading, or only certain usernames can download.
That would take away the beauty of learning from others. Do you think Scratch itself was created without using other people's code? Scratch, this website as well as most of the things around us are possible because people have been sharing knowledge for centuries. Imagine if Shakespare had decided to only share his works with certain friends and no one else. Or if a vaccine was only available to the friends of the person who invented it. A Scratch project might not be as critical as a vaccine but the idea of sharing to everyone is.

That's a good point. I am actually thinking in adding a "Top remixed" to the front page to list the projects that have been remixed the most. I think this way people would be less upset about others copying their work.

From what I have seen, he does not alter anything except the name, and then he barefacedly claims that he is the original creator of teh project.
However, since everyone can see the "based on X" link, everyone knows he just copied it, and lying makes him look rather foolish.

I talked Hiyaman out of it with the originals. Glough is an idiot, just look at his projects (look at the Duck Hunt copy)
Hazzadude cant spell and is a n00b.
David Chen ignores scratch team members and acts like a big winner.
I cant reference Raymen29.

*Andres, I encourage you to look at Glough's duck hunt copy.

One note of caution. Please do not be rude to anyone nor even if that person is mean or rude. It just generates more negativity.
I am curious, do you think people would actually believe that glough created the projects even though it says "Based on somone else's project"?
Thanks!
P.S. It's kind of exciting that you guys want to start a protest :-)

Scratch users that have copied my projects and called it their own:
mina: Copied my Pong game and called it her own
alex21alex: Copied my BigRedButton and rearranged the the counter, button, and title slightly, and called it his/hers.

I found four downloads of my game (super samus)

I Have Heard Of Many Copiers From Scratch Members. The Copiers Are (That I Have Heard Of) mina, alex21alex, Raymen29, Hazzude, And Davidchen (Or Is It David Chen? I'm Not Sure). But The King Of All Copiers Is.............glough. He Takes Projects And Re-Uploads Them Changing Only The Name. He Calls Everyone "n00bs". Besides, You Spell That "Noobs". Anyways, They Might Say It Is Free Advertisement, But Most Members Say What Is Most Likely The Truth. It Is COPYING. Copying Is Against The LAW. Scratch Team, I Wanna Go To Your University For College, And I Do Think That You Should Believe Me. The Terms Of Use Says "Be Respectful". Copying Is NOT RESPECTFUL.
