We just posted our son's first scratch project. I can not find it when we use the search function (user or project name).
The only way I can find it is by typing the url in directly
scratch.mit.edu/users/naduking
Are there any settings I need to adjust in order for his project or user name to appear in the search function?
thanks

The search function can take a few days to update, so just be patient. It will still be viewable to certain users on the "Newest Projects" section of the front page, which randomly selects some of the latest projects to show. But don't worry, it'll still be findable eventually.

If you are searching for a user I believe that you cannot search for a new scratcher (please correct me if i'm wrong) so you will have to type the link in.
Cool use of sounds by the way
Yes, that's correct but it does show New users if they are surprisngly very active, which is rare on their first days on the site. No need to worry!
If you want to find your son's projects, just types in the URL:
http://scratch.mit.edu/users/ (the username)
THis way, people are able to find their projects must faster than the Search bar.
You can also friend him after finding him with the URL, then, you'll be able to see his projects anytime when you log in yourself. Their will be another section on Front page called "My Friends" projects.
Hope this helps! You can give me a link to your son's project, and I'll be happy to see his anytime!
