8. Don't bump up old topics unless you have a good reason to. Use your common sense - if you're just bumping up a topic to say thanks, don't bother. If you're bumping something up because the topic was a useful one that more people should see, or if you want more opinions on something, go ahead. But don't bump topics too often, and explain why you're bumping the topic up. Apologizing is great as well; it shows that you know what you're doing.

Could someone kindly tell me what bumping is?

If you're kidding...nice joke  tongue , but if you really don't know, it's posting on something really old.

Actually, strangely enough, I didn't know. Scratch Forums is the first and only forum I've ever been on. I'm not a big forum fanatic  tongue

Thanks for clearing it up for me, though.

It depends on what kind, like for example :

This project is very inappropriate. I have flagged it because there is violence. You ought to stop using violence in your projects. Also, your game is good, yet glitchy. Next time, get rid of the glitches.

Wow! This project is great! I love how you can't cheat. But there is one thing : When you fall in the bottomless pit, your lives don't change! You could fix it with a <change Lives by -1> block. Overall, it's great!

Of course, the second is a better person.  smile  You don't need to announce to the world that you flagged a project or that it's glitchy.

I'm assuming you mean a topic.  smile

Just enter the forum you'd like to post it in (although New Scratchers do have certain limitations as to where they can post), then press "Post New Topic" in the upper-right hand corner. Hope that helps!

Also, this isn't exactly the right place to put this - be sure all your posts are in the right forum and topic.  smile

Revised the guide and added a guideline that should have been there from the start.

This isn't bad, but since this is for New Scratchers, they don't have edit buttons in posts, so they have to reply in order to update posts unless they are upgraded to Scratcher.  Is that true?  hmm
