Hey team, I'm back with another question on the next phase of my Asteroids game...
I've run into the problem of needing Dynamic Sprites added to the stage (i.e. for the asteroids). I've been poking around the forum and have only found a thread from 2007, which said that dynamic sprites have been removed from Scratch. So I'm really hoping this feature was added, or at least if there was a work around.
I really see no other way of randomly adding Asteroids to come in from random corners of the stage, while simultaneously being able to have the asteroid being split into 4 smaller sprites once shot, and having each of those drift off in a random direction.
Link of an asteroids game for example (as if anyone doesn't know the game):

Any help on just the adding sprites dynamically, and being able to remove them, would be greatly appreciated; I can probably figure out the rest, hopefully

Sorry, but there are no dynamic sprites in Scratch.
But, you could have a few master asteroids that stamp themselves wherever you would want the duplicated ones. The only downside is that it would probably slow Scratch down a lot...
Good news though! I am currently making a Scratch mod called Blocktalk that would do exactly what you want! It's not finished yet and it won't be any time soon... But it'll come out eventually
Google it.
