New scratch cat movements.

I think you should add a scratch cat with a walking script make it easier on newcomers.

Thank you,

Re: New scratch cat movements.

Interesting suggestion! It's pretty easy at the moment to get the Scratch cat to walk, and there are plenty of video tutorials to get newcomers started. But I do like your suggestion - just as soon as you open up, it has that script. The only problem is that when people make a large number of projects, it can be annoying to have to "prep" the project by deleting the scripts, adding their costumes, removing the old Scratch Cat's sounds (which I believe no longer import with *every* sprite). But it is an interesting idea.

Re: New scratch cat movements.

I think the point of Scratch is to get people to make something and be creative! If you had built in walking animations, a lot of a project wouldn't be your work. Sample projects and included sprites are great, but I don't think we should just give newcomers a pre-built solution for everything - there would be a lot of projects that were uncreative and repetitive.
