Do you think the world's really going to end on 2012, according to the Mayans? Why? Tell me! And, what would you do the day before the Apocalypse?
Thanks!

Yes, it will. It has been nice knowing you.
I am gonna go get a head start on the looting, rioting and pillaging.

The Mayans never said the world would end in 2012.
First, 2012 is the wrong date (the Mayan calendar was misinterpreted), and second, the Mayans said the date marked a period of great change, not a great end.

No. But I have a theory anyway.
Entropy is chaos. Nature favors chaos. Chemical reactions that result in more entropy are more likely to happen. Therefore, the universe will become more chaotic over time. 2012 just so happens to be the year we will reach maximum chaos. BOOM!
(My logic's probably faulty. That was a bit of a joke.)

The world won't end.
People will get so excited that they will commit suicide in fear.
That's how it will end, with a bunch of idiots killing themselves for no reason.

Perhaps that's a bit... over-dramatic.
Chances are that the reaction will be the same as when 200 came around, with people being a bit over-reactive as the date approaches, but with the overreaction dying down when the date passes.

I don't believe in it. AT ALL.

That is totally my take on this. Look at Y2K. Everybody believed that we where going to fly back in time. But look at where we are. Not living with the dinosaurs. This is a big hoax. Besides have any of you actually SEEN the calender or are you relying on the words of the government.

Yah, neither do I. It's funny how some Scratchers responded so...unique. lol

Fail
And also, of course it dies down after the date passes. They've already lived through that date.

Heck no, but I think some real bad wars will be set in motion in 2012, and the worst one since WW2 will break out between then and 2020.
Okay, I really think that, but I'm not gonna go into details as this is not the site. But I'm almost certain a major war in the Middle East and East Asia is almost inevitable at this point.

Hmmm, very interesting concept of yours.
I was thinking of a WW3 too, and this time is going to be the worst of all with threats of nuclear bombing.

I think conventional war is enough to satisfy the politicians. If there are any nukes, it will be Iran bashes Israel, and vice versa, N. Korea bashes S. Korea, vice versa, and al Quada bashes US via cargo shipping (e.g., rigged cargo ship lands in California port). But I don't worry as much about nukes, since everyone has them and if we all used them we would all perish, and you can still win a war today without using nukes.

Actually, I read an article about it, and they misread the Mayan calendar
It's actually 2112.
A movie, a song and thousand's of believer's for what?
But on New Year's 2012 and the Apocalypse, I'm still gonna dance to that song. (The song by Jay Sean, 2012(It ain't the end of the world))

I don't think it will happen. I saw the preview for the movie and it made me laugh. If it did it would be cool and not cool at the same time.
