Looking for ideas...here are some ways to find inspiration:
1.) Click on one of the tags on the home page and explore projects about that tag (or explore any of the projects in your favorites page or on the featured projects list)...then consider: how you could modify this to improve it or explore another approach? How could you integrate something new that the creator hadn't previously thought of? How could you remove features to change the elements of the project into something new.
Then remix and see where that takes you.
2.) Instead of starting with a concept - explore the "tools" you have in Scratch. What kind of projects could you make only using the "say"" block? What about the "next costume" block? Exploring the features of Scratch might inspire you to create a project you would never have thought of before.
3.) Look around you for inspiration...what makes you smile? What makes you sad? Angry? Hopeful? Where are you going (today? next week? in life?) What message do you want to send? How do you interpret the events on the news? Who inspires you? What are you thankful for?
