I agree on that, next time you want a wide tree just plant loads of saplings close to torches - they're easy to obtain anyway. Just cut a pair of trees and you get 5-10 saplings. 
Maybe use bone meal too.

The house has been removed from the farm. Also, the entrance to the passage from the tree farm has been removed.

I just checked the save, going good so far I like the idea of the shop but maybe the currency should be regularized. Maybe use ores, which are equivalent to "points" depending on their rarity, like so:
Coal (maybe not, way too common methinks): 1 point
Iron Ingot: 3 points
Gold Ingot: 5 points
Diamond: 8 points
Or just make gold and diamond the only currency. Cheap items would be sold in great quantities, like a 64-stack of cobblestone for 1 Gold Ingot.
I'm not good at making balanced systems though so feel free to suggest changes until we achieve a good standard
