Okay, as many people have said, 2011 is not looking to be a good year for Scratch. People are quitting, insulting, trolling, and one person even considered SUICIDE because of what is going on! Just insulting someone as a joke may seem harmless, but it really does hurt people. This just is ridiculous the way it's going! So I want to start a movement that does SOMETHING to help this catastrophe that is now known as Scratch! I call it the 2007 movement, modeling it after the year 2007 on Scratch, where everyone knew each other and was nice. I'm not looking for anything huge that changes Scratch. I just want you to be nice to people, instead of leaving mean comments. Also, some people quit because they don't get any views. Well, comment on people's projects, suggesting some improvements and leaving something nice about what they did. I know, there will always be trolls, but we can help a little bit! Please, help to change Scratch, even if just a little bit.

SUICIDE?! Okay that is TOO FAR.
Anyways, I completely support! Those people who troll (and stuff) are mean! It's so annoying! D-:<

I think everyone is just going crazy over nothing. Yes I do miss some people and there are some mean people, but nothing has changed since 2010. Plus the suicide guy had problems OUT of Scratch, and he didn't end up killing himself.

First of all, who cares if people quit from no views?
Secondly, a suicide in scratch? This may seem serious, but think of how many people are on the site. At least one person must be somewhat insane or something.
Quitting? Get over it. Seriously, there's not much else to say about that.

I wasn't around in 2007, so I don't know what it was like, but I do know that it is 2011 now. I think we should stop mourning the loss of "the good old days" and start doing the right thing because it is the right thing, not because some people miss what the website used to be. I'm sorry, but I like 2011 Scratch. We should strive to improve as a community, but realize that we can't make it the same way it was in 2007 because the community is bigger and more diverse and has different strengths and challenges than before. Sorry for the rant. I agree with your plan, just not the name.

I'm supporting.
one person even considered SUICIDE
Woah. That is seriously going way too far!
Also, people quitting is fine unless they do it because of lack of fame or publicity OR it's a publicity stunt JUST to get more views. But if you're doing because of moving into different programming languages or because of HOMEWORK OVERLOAD, it's fine. You shouldn't stress about Scratch if there are other things going on in your life.
But, seriously, people quitting because of fame, or lack thereof, is not cool.

Woah what, why is it called the 2007 movement? It's not like 2007ers are better than 2011ers or anybody else so stop making yourself out to be. I can guarantee that the quality of projects has increased since then, since the program has advanced and more users have joined each day and contributed. Call it the 2011 Movement if anything, because this is the year we're trying to 'fix'. The Drama on this site is incredibly dumb.
