I'll start with how to get around with the basic stuff most people go to on the forums.
Announcements:
Okay, the announcements are how Moderators and The Scratch Team (see moderators) give you news and stuff you can do to make the forums a better place.
They show, well, announcements about Scratch!
New Scratch Members:
New Scratch Members is where you post to help New Scratchers, or introduce yourself to the Scratch Community.
Show and Tell
This is where you tell others about your projects, but don't Spam, theres a difference.(see Spam)
FAQs and All About Scratch
They are quite similar. They both answer any question that you may have about Scratch.
Advanced Topics
Hence the name, Advanced Topics is for questions and problems for mesh, etc. ( not really a valid description)
Suggestions
Here's where you submit your ideas about the Scratch site or the Scratch Program
Troubleshooting
You submit glitches, bugs or other mishaps on the program or site.
Sensor Boards
Topics relating to Scratch Boards, PicoBoards, and Scratch sensing.
Other Languages
The next 14 are Scratch problems and whatnot in other languages.
Collaboration
Here you work with other Scratchers to create projects, companies, and galleries.
Requests
Here you offer your talents to others, or others do to you.
Project Ideas
The name says it all.
Miscellaneous
Here you post topics that are not related to Scratch.
That's it!
Since you are new, you can't post in certain places.

BBcode is a thing that changes text color and makes links and etc.
Click the following link to see a fantastic guide by JeanTheFox.

Siggys are where you say something that goes at the bottom of everyone of your posts. Such as a picture, words, or something else. But you have to wait 15 days after you join to use a siggy.
4
Moderators are Scratchers that enforce rules around the forums. They keep it safe for all ages, and block out inappropriate posts.
The Scratch Team.. well I don't know much about them.
5
Spam is telling other people OVER AND OVER to look at your projects.
It's not good and you shouldn't do it.
For more help see other topics.
Hope this helped!

If I were you, I'd change that part in Advanced Topics - how it's for things such as hard scripting - many new Scratchers could easily call a normal script hard. Instead, I'd mention things like editing the source code and Mesh.

Actually, not all scratch team members go to MIT, some of them have just met other members of the scratch team at scratch days/confrences at MIT, such as Paddle2See and Jens (retired).

This is sticky-bait.
But good work, and besides, isn't everything sticky-bait anyway?

Instead of the word "siggy", I think "signature" is better... (although they have the same meaning)
